I had an idea..
Critique please, I felt in the mood to write this.
-----
Taking big drops with the greatest of ease.
Training for days at a time, I must feel the expertise.
A group of friends and I, always put on a show.
These urban streets you see? My heavenly abode.
This is one thing to me, that I will always hold dear.
As my skills seem to sharpen, I realize this has always been here.
As my senses seem to sharpen, I become much more aware.
--
You practice and practice, always finding new peers.
"I've never seen this before.." but.. "It's been there for years"
The skills of a traceur are quite refined.
Having the power to get over any obstacle in mind.
Whether you vault or you flip, as long as you pass.
Freerunners and traceurs always surpass.
The fastest way of getting over, under or through
This is the skill that we all train to do.

I like it a lot! One question though... 7 lines in the first stanza, 8 in the last? It seems like the rhyme scheme calls for another line in the first one... Just my 2 cents. lol. But it is really good, well done bro.

Originally 6 in the first, but the three line rhyme scheme at the end kinda threw it off.
just opening up this thread to post this, it seems appropriate
Fluid. I, vaulting, dropping, rolling, become free. Dash to a daring dive, I pause preparing to proceed; pacing. Each motion a link in a chain. To reach my destination I conquer the metropolis and all of its meaningless restraints; bars, rails, walls, ledges, all of it. Like a bird to the sky, I am the creature of this urban jungle. Tap! Tap! Tap! My trainers kiss the cement wall, as if I could merely proceed through it. At the apex of the obstacle, my toes my fingers, my body, my name all become synonymous with fluidness.
With my advancement boundless, my mind begins to unravel, and everything in life is tranquil, clear. Everything I needed to know I learned this way.
Look before you leap, familiarization is key to anything, anything. People smirk because they don’t understand; coincidently they antagonize you for the same reasons. Practice by no means creates perfect; perfect can never be achieved. Practice only opens new doors, opportunities. Observe each peculiarity as it may serve to be your undoing. Thinking too hard will lead you to back down, don’t think go.
As close to weightless as I can recall, another second and collaboration between the asphalt and the sneakers’ black rubber, calloused fingertips pull me through an all too familiar motion; dropping, rolling, becoming free. Lunging chest first out of the tumble purposely executed by your humble narrator, another forward thrust has my body following in a close second behind my head, physically and mentally. Placing palms promptly on this ledge, a jolt birthed from my wrists propels me forward. The unnatural, the abominations, the restrictions entirely man-made; I demonstrate my defiance. Run. In my vision, a trench and a perpendicular landing, just a simple gap to be gapped. Thought isn’t relevant at this moment. Destinations, point A to point B, efficiently, that’s principal. Again, soaring, air cradles my being. Everything’s been taught to me this way.
Learn what interests you, as an individual. No two people agree entirely with everything the other believes, but still common ground can be found. If you put your mind to it, then you decided a long time ago that you would take action, conclusively you can accomplish whatever that may be. Even though you are putting yourself on a limb, commit. One can get away with more than he or she believes is possible. Evolution occurs everyday. If you listen very closely you can hear each breath the city takes: each window opened, each cab entered, each siren, each and every thing. Too many people give up at the first premiere. Everything is a simple as overcoming obstacles, and by breaking these obstacles into strategic sections, true paths seem to glow. Ethics. Ethics are important. Familiarization is instinct through tradition, and instinct creates ideologies that can be applied at a much greater scale. Express yourself.
A whip gesture from my hand takes the gleam off my forehead. Disembarked on the opposing shore of two roofs. I blitz to a railing. A one hundred and eighty degree turn is not for looks, but for reason. I face everything conquered minutes ago. Call me Julius Caesar; "I came, I saw, I conquered.” And it is at that moment that recollection tells me, I’m here.
